Google My Business Case Study
Case study for physician practice Google My Business listing
MEDICAL MARKETING SERVICES
We can provide great Google My Business results for any medical practice.
For this case study, we’ll be looking at a physician practice that has seen a steady increase in traffic over the course of the past year. This practice started off with little to no search traffic in a highly competitive location. What we have done for them over the past year is to slowly and consistently increase the visibility to their Google My Business page. This is a medical practice that has three locations, which makes it a little more challenging, just from a time and management standpoint. Google My Business is important because it is what shows the "MAPS" section of Google and your practice wants to be in the top 3 results. From the picture below, you can see a nice increase in online traffic over the same period from a year prior. There is a consistent theme when you look at the same report for each month and that is a high increase over the same period last year.
So now that you’ve seen the data you’re probably wanting to know how we accomplished this.
The key to getting your Google My Business showing:
- GMB Optimization – We got access to the GMB (Google My Business) listing and made sure that everything was filled in and optimized for keywords. We also have been able to update photos and post on the GMB pages to get it more visibility.
- Citations – We made sure that we had a healthy list of citations and went to work making sure that not only did they have citations but also that their NAP (name, address, and phone number) where consistent throughout.
- Medical and Health Directories – Websites like Vitals, HealthGrades, etc should all be optimized and updated to show the correct physicians and medical practice location.
Managing a Google My Business account and listing can be done on your own, but there are a lot of things that take up a lot of time. Citation work is very time consuming and posting photos and posts to the GMB listing can be a tedious task.
